Four Generations. One Spoon. A Legacy of Love and Bold Flavor.

Nana’s Spoon is more than a recipe — it’s a legacy.

Our story begins nearly a century ago, in a small kitchen filled with the aroma of vinegar, spice, and tradition. What started as a humble horseradish cheese spread crafted by my great-grandmother has since been passed down through four generations in our family — each one adding her own love and care, but never changing the heart of the recipe.

It was never written down. It was taught — by watching, stirring, tasting, and sharing.

🧓 Great Grandma: The Matriarch

She was the original maker. A immigrant with grit and grace, my great-grandmother brought her family’s old-world techniques to America, using simple ingredients to create something unforgettable. Her horseradish bar cheese became a staple at family gatherings — bold, creamy, and impossible to stop eating once it hit the table.

👵 Grandma: The Keeper of the Kitchen

My grandmother kept the tradition alive through the hardest and happiest of times. She’d whip up the cheese for weddings, picnics, and late-night card games — often served with rye bread and a story. She had a way of making every guest feel welcome, usually with a spoonful of this fiery spread in hand.

👩‍🍳 Mom: The Quiet Fire

My mom made the recipe her own by perfecting it for the holidays and passing it to the next generation — me. She taught me that food is love, and this cheese spread is our way of feeding not just bellies, but hearts.

🙋‍♂️ Now Me: The Legacy Continues

I never planned to launch a food brand. But after sharing Nana’s bar cheese at a local pub and watching the entire batch disappear in minutes, I realized something: this recipe has always brought people together — and the world could use a little more of that.

So here we are. Nana’s Spoon is our family's story in a tub — a century of shared meals, laughter, and the quiet strength of women who knew how to feed a crowd with care.

🎖️ The Men Who Served

Behind these women stood men who fought for our freedom:

  • My great-grandfather served in World War I

  • My grandfather, a Purple Heart recipient, fought in World War II

  • My father served honorably during the Vietnam War

Their courage and sacrifice shaped our values: hard work, resilience, and never taking family time for granted.

❤️ Why We Do This

At Nana’s Spoon, we’re not just selling snacks. We’re sharing a story — of love, loss, laughter, and legacy. Every tub is a tribute to the generations who stirred, blended, and believed.

We hope you’ll taste the difference — and maybe start a new tradition at your table
